This page explains what cookies and similar technologies FindBroadband uses, what each one is for and how you control them. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can remember something between page loads or visits. We also use similar technologies that do a comparable job, mainly the storage your browser keeps for us (localStorage and sessionStorage). Where this page says cookies, read it as cookies and similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

When you first arrive, our consent banner asks what you are happy with. Nothing in the analytics category runs until you accept it. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie settings: the cookie button at the bottom-left of the page, or the cookie settings option on the consent banner. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though some essential features may stop working if you do.

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They do not need consent because the site cannot function without them.

Consent record. Stores your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page.
Sign-in session. When you sign in with a magic link, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie so you stay logged in. Only set if you sign in.
Your address and saved items. If you enter a postcode or address, or save and compare deals without an account, we keep that on your own device in your browser storage. It stays on your device and is not an advertising identifier.

These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They only run once you accept the analytics category.

Google Analytics 4. Measures page visits and key actions, for example which deals get clicked. We run it in Google Consent Mode, so before you consent it sends only anonymous, cookieless signals and sets no cookies. It writes cookies only after you accept analytics.
Microsoft Clarity. Anonymised heatmaps and session insight. It has no cookieless mode, so it does not load at all until you accept analytics.

We do not use Google Tag Manager, and we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Vercel Speed Insights measures page-load performance. It is cookie-free and sets no identifiers, so it runs without consent.

When you click a deal, we send you to the provider's own site through a tracking link so the provider knows the referral came from us. This is how we earn commission, explained on our About page. Once you land on the provider's site, any cookies set there are the provider's, governed by the provider's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.

We update this page when the cookies we use change. The last-updated date tells you when. Material changes are reflected in the consent banner so you can review your choices.
