Cookie Policy

These keep the site working and cannot be switched off. They do not need consent because the site cannot function without them.

• Consent record. Stores your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every page.
• Sign-in session. When you sign in with a magic link, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie so you stay logged in. Only set if you sign in.
• Your address and saved items. If you enter a postcode or address, or save and compare deals without an account, we keep that on your own device in your browser storage. It stays on your device and is not an advertising identifier.

These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They only run once you accept the analytics category.

• Google Analytics 4. Measures page visits and key actions, for example which deals get clicked. We run it in Google Consent Mode, so before you consent it sends only anonymous, cookieless signals and sets no cookies. It writes cookies only after you accept analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity. Anonymised heatmaps and session insight. It has no cookieless mode, so it does not load at all until you accept analytics.
• Your visit. A random number for this visit, the pages you open (with how long you spend on each) and whether you used our bill check, so we can see how people find their way to a deal. It's only saved in your browser if you accept analytics, and it's deleted when you close the tab.
• Counted once. After you sign up or start a £20 claim, a note on this device so we don't count it twice. It's only saved if you accept analytics, and it stays until you turn analytics off or clear your browser storage.

We do not use Google Tag Manager. If you accept advertising cookies, we use the Meta Pixel to see which of our adverts bring people here, and we remember how you found us so the right advert or site gets the credit when you click through to a deal.

• Meta Pixel. Shows us which of our Facebook and Instagram adverts led to a visit or a deal click. It only loads if you accept advertising cookies.
• How you found us. A small note in your browser storage of the site that sent you here (for example a search engine, ChatGPT or one of our emails), or the name of our advert if you came from one. It's only saved if you accept advertising cookies, and it clears itself after 30 minutes of inactivity. We pass it to our deal partner with your click, so a switch you make gets credited to the right place.
• Returning visits. A random number on your device that links your visits to us, so we can see what first brought you here even if you come back days later to switch. It's only saved if you accept advertising cookies. If you don't visit for 90 days we treat you as new and replace it, and it's deleted straight away if you turn advertising cookies off.

Vercel Speed Insights measures page-load performance. It is cookie-free and sets no identifiers, so it runs without consent.

When you click a deal, we send you to the provider's own site through a tracking link so the provider knows the referral came from us. This is how we earn commission, explained on our About page. Once you land on the provider's site, any cookies set there are the provider's, governed by the provider's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.
