A POP Telecom broadband speed test shows whether you get the speed you pay for: POP Telecom sells 10 speeds, from 11 Mbps to 2.5 Gbps, checked 28 October 2026. POP Telecom hasn't signed Ofcom's speed code, so compare a wired result with your package speed and report any shortfall to POP Telecom.

"Over 2 years" is the average monthly cost across 24 months once any intro offer ends and the rises written into the contract apply. Part fibre runs fibre to the street cabinet and copper to your home. From POP Telecom's live deals, updated every day.

Getting a fair result

Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you.

8 of POP Telecom's 17 deals have a price rise written into the contract. The rest have none published.

If it’s still slow

POP Telecom hasn't signed Ofcom's voluntary broadband speed code, so there's no set 30-day right to leave over slow speeds. Report it to POP Telecom first. If it isn't sorted after six weeks, you can take it to the free dispute scheme POP Telecom belongs to.

POP Telecom sells over Openreach's network, so if the line itself needs an engineer, POP Telecom books an Openreach one for you. Source

Why is my POP Telecom broadband slow?

Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you. If the wired result is fine, the line is doing its job and the slowdown is in your home: the router's position, other devices or an old wifi standard. If the wired result is low too, switch the router off at the wall for 30 seconds, test again, then report it.

What can I do if POP Telecom can't fix my speed?
