Three broadband
speed test

A Three broadband speed test shows whether you get the speed you pay for: Three sells 2 speeds, from 10 Mbps to 150 Mbps, checked 28 October 2026. Three hasn't signed Ofcom's speed code, so compare a result next to the router with your package speed and report any shortfall to Three.

For Three customers. We’ll measure your line, then check it against the Three packages that are actually available at your address.

How we measure: The test runs in your browser against the nearest UK edge. How we diagnose: we join your result to the line + deal data we hold for your address.

What speed should your Three line show?

Three sells 2 speeds of 4G and 5G home broadband today, from 10 Mbps to 150 Mbps. The speed depends on the signal where your router sits.

"Over 2 years" is the average monthly cost across 24 months once any intro offer ends and the rises written into the contract apply. From Three's live deals, updated every day.

Getting a fair result

Test with the router where it gets its best signal, often by a window, and on a device close to it. A test from another room mostly measures your wifi.

Every Three package goes up £3.50 a month in April 2027 and again in April 2028, so the starting price isn't what you'll pay for the whole contract.

If it’s still slow

Three hasn't signed Ofcom's voluntary broadband speed code, so there's no set 30-day right to leave over slow speeds. Report it to Three first. If it isn't sorted after six weeks, you can take it to the free dispute scheme Three belongs to.

Three home broadband runs on Three's own 4G and 5G mobile network, so there's no line for an engineer to fix. If it's slow or keeps dropping, the signal and where the router sits are the first things to check. Source

Questions

Three speed questions

What speed should I get on Three?

Three sells 2 speeds of 4G and 5G home broadband today, from 10 Mbps to 150 Mbps. The speed depends on the signal where your router sits. Check which package you're on, then run the test close to the router. The table on this page shows the speed each package is sold at.

Why is my Three broadband slow?

Test with the router where it gets its best signal, often by a window, and on a device close to it. A test from another room mostly measures your wifi. If the wired result is fine, the line is doing its job and the slowdown is in your home: the router's position, other devices or an old wifi standard. If the wired result is low too, switch the router off at the wall for 30 seconds, test again, then report it.

What can I do if Three can't fix my speed?

Three hasn't signed Ofcom's voluntary broadband speed code, so there's no set 30-day right to leave over slow speeds. Report it to Three first. If it isn't sorted after six weeks, you can take it to the free dispute scheme Three belongs to. Three home broadband runs on Three's own 4G and 5G mobile network, so there's no line for an engineer to fix. Will my Three price go up?

Every Three package goes up £3.50 a month in April 2027 and again in April 2028, so the starting price isn't what you'll pay for the whole contract.
