Test your WightFibre connection

WightFibre broadband
speed test

A WightFibre broadband speed test shows whether you get the speed you pay for: WightFibre sells 4 speeds, from 150 Mbps to 900 Mbps, checked 29 October 2026. WightFibre hasn't signed Ofcom's speed code, so compare a wired result with your package speed and report any shortfall to WightFibre.

"Over 2 years" is the average monthly cost across 24 months once any intro offer ends and the rises written into the contract apply. Some advertised prices are intro offers that end after a set number of months. From WightFibre's live deals, updated every day.

Getting a fair result

Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you.

None of WightFibre's 5 deals has a price rise written into the contract.

If it’s still slow

WightFibre hasn't signed Ofcom's voluntary broadband speed code, so there's no set 30-day right to leave over slow speeds. Report it to WightFibre first. If it isn't sorted after six weeks, you can take it to the free dispute scheme WightFibre belongs to.

WightFibre runs its own network, so a fault on the line is WightFibre's own to fix. Source

Questions

WightFibre speed questions

What speed should I get on WightFibre?

WightFibre sells 4 speeds today, from 150 Mbps to 900 Mbps, all of them full fibre, so the fibre runs all the way into your home. Check which package you're on, then compare it with a wired test. The table on this page shows the speed each package is sold at.

Why is my WightFibre broadband slow?

Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you. If the wired result is fine, the line is doing its job and the slowdown is in your home: the router's position, other devices or an old wifi standard. If the wired result is low too, switch the router off at the wall for 30 seconds, test again, then report it.

What can I do if WightFibre can't fix my speed?

WightFibre hasn't signed Ofcom's voluntary broadband speed code, so there's no set 30-day right to leave over slow speeds. Report it to WightFibre first. If it isn't sorted after six weeks, you can take it to the free dispute scheme WightFibre belongs to. WightFibre runs its own network, so a fault on the line is WightFibre's own to fix.
