Moving home broadband, sorted before you move.
For moving home broadband, order 4 weeks before you move: TalkTalk asks for 3 to 4 weeks’ notice, Sky 2 to 4 weeks and BT and Vodafone a month. Add where you’re moving, when and who you’re with now, and we’ll tell you whether to take your provider with you or switch and what reaches your new home.
- Every provider that reaches your new address, not your old one.
- A date to order by, worked out from your move day.

Your answer is one of three things.
-
01 · Free to choose
You’re out of contract, or nearly.
Moving is the easiest time to switch. Pick from everything that reaches your new home, at new-customer prices.
-
02 · Take it with you
You’re in contract and your provider reaches the new place.
Moving your service is usually simplest. Ask whether it starts a new minimum term before you agree.
-
03 · Not at the new address
Your provider can’t serve your new home.
Ask whether you can leave without an exit fee because of that, then choose from the providers that do reach it.
Online on day one.
Most providers ask for two to four weeks’ notice, and longer if an engineer has to fit or fix a line. Ordering early costs nothing.
-

-

Moving, plainly.
