Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you.
Every EE package goes up £4 a month in March 2027 and again in March 2028, so the starting price isn't what you'll pay for the whole contract.
If it’s still slow
EE has signed Ofcom's broadband speed code. That means EE gave you a minimum guaranteed speed when you joined. If your wired speed stays below it and EE can't fix it within 30 days, you can leave without an exit fee.

Why is my EE broadband slow?
Run the test on a laptop plugged into the router with a cable. Over wifi you'll often see less than the line is giving you. If the wired result is fine, the line is doing its job and the slowdown is in your home: the router's position, other devices or an old wifi standard. If the wired result is low too, switch the router off at the wall for 30 seconds, test again, then report it.
